Whether your little ones have just started sitting unaided, are taking those first wobbly steps, have just lost their first tooth or just because they are growing up so fast, record those moments.
How does a family portrait shoot work?
Family photoshoots take place in my lovely studio in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. I pour my heart and soul into each and every session to capture the magic of your family.
Family sessions are all about having fun, no stiff or awkward posing! Sometimes kids can be shy at first so there’s plenty of time for everyone to relax, settle in and enjoy their session.
I take lots of different images of your baby or kids on their own and of course you all together. My style is natural and timeless to keep all of the focus on your family.
Hello, I’m Aoife!
I am a family photographer known for my timeless, naturally beautiful images of families created in my gorgeous studio in Dun Laoghaire.
I feel incredibly lucky to meet and photograph each family who comes through my door. Each family is unique in their story and I would love to capture your family and your story.
I know from seeing my own two children grow up that family portraits become even more precious as the years go by.
As an experienced portrait photographer (I am the Irish Overall Portrait Photographer of the Year 2025) you know that you can trust me to capture those gorgeous family moments together.

We had a wonderful experience taking part in a family photoshoot with Aoife recently. With 3 little girls aged 6 and under, it wasn’t going to be the easiest task getting everyone to look in the right direction etc but Aoife did an amazing job. The girls took to her warmth and humour instantly. On leaving the studio that day, I thought to myself that even if we didn’t manage to capture many good quality images, at least we all had a fun time. However when our gallery came back, we were blown away by the images. Aoife was so pleasant to deal with in the run up to the photoshoot and she’s so organised and efficient. We would highly recommend her services! We are delighted to have these beautiful images of our family and will treasure them! Thank you Aoife!

Aoife took photographs of myself and my little 1-year-old girl and she was wonderful in every way. Aoife has a wonderful warm personality and put us right at ease and made us feel very comfortable. My little girl wanted to do a lot of walking around and exploring the studio and Aoife just rolled with it and somehow still was able to capture so many beautiful images. It was very hard to pick just a few so we had to get more. I will treasure these images from this time in my little girl’s life and I love that we have some Mammy/daughter photos together. Family photoshoots take place in my lovely studio in Dun Laoghaire, Co.Dublin. They are very relaxed to let everyone settle in and enjoy their session. It's all about having fun, not about formal and stiff posing!

Mums are very welcome to wear one of my lovely dresses from my client wardrobe. I also have options for babies upto 12 months. Before your sssion I will send you a Family Portrait Styling Guide so that you can plan what you should all wear.

I take lots of different images of kids and you all together and individually to give you a range of images for your gallery.

Family photoshoots are suitable from babies from 3 months and kids of any age.

Sitter shoots are for babies who can sit independently. This means I can capture gorgeous images of baby sitting on the floor by themselves. Aswell of course as images of your family all together!

Bring any snacks or drinks your kids might need. If your kids are shy then bringing a favourite toy or book can help them settle in.

Don’t worry! I take plenty of time to let kids settle in, relax and enjoy the session. Some kids can be quite shy at first but they always soon warm up! And if your kids are quite the opposite and are full of beans and reluctant to stay still then I have lots of ways of distracting them!

The Family Photoshoot session fee is €95. The you can choose from a gorgeous selection of wall art, albums, print boxes or prints with prices starting at €395.

Approximately 2 weeks after your family photoshoot you will be invited to a viewing session, either in person or online depending on what suits. You can then choose whichever product suits you best from albums, print boxes, wall art and print collections.
